I didn't post this photo last time with the others, I forgot to get it off Kate's computer.

Ms. Rossi and I had our last school visit today before Christmas break. She helps with all our
homeschooling.

Kurtis & Kassadie ~Birthday Time~

Birthday's again. Okay, it really is fun. There are only 4 months out of the year we don't have any birthdays. Saturday was Kurtis and Kassadie's birthday.
Kurtis is now 8 years old and Kassadie is now 6 years old. I can not believe how my babies grow up so fast.
We are still really busy with school. The older ones have been going golfing with dad at the golf course once a week. The weather was bad on Friday and they missed it. It was raining and really windy. Poor Kye was really sad. He doesn't like to play as much as he likes being dad's caddy. Kate likes to drive the golf cart. Kendall and Kevin are doing well. They really look forward to going all week. Kurtis and Kellie haven't tried yet. But I know when they want to go they'll have a great time also.
I got to go to the movies today, I haven't been for awhile. The last time was on Mother's Day a couple of years ago.I went with Kate, Kevin and Kye . Kylene and I went together today.
We are getting ready for Thanksgiving. I have made the menu for Thursday with the kids. Then Friday we will put up the tree and decorate the inside/outside of the house. We have had this tradition since Mike and I were first married. The kids have already asked if Friday we decorate.
Yep, just like always.
Anyways, all is well here and we wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Kylene's Hope Chest

Mike and I went shopping last weekend and stopped at a local furniture store. We have been looking for a hope chest for Kylene. She has been slowly collecting things over the last year or so and we thought she would like to have something nice to put her things in. We found this one, I know she wanted a darker wood and I thought this one was really pretty. We gave it to her Saturday. She was really surprised.

BEARS!!!!!

Yes, BEARS. Today Kylene and I were over at Heather's getting our hair done and while we were gone, there were bears here in our yard. When we came in the door everyone was yelling, "Bears, bears, bears. You guys missed the bears.". About 15 minutes before we came home Mike saw Watson running across the back yard. He went to see what he was after (Watson doesn't run at all). He saw a baby brown bear running around to the front yard. He said it was the size of Watson(200lbs.)By the time Mike ran to the front of the house he saw MAMA BEAR in the front. She hopped over the 4 foot fence and was gone, the baby was scared and I guess thought it was trapped. It ran back and forth in the yard, hitting the fences. It finally saw the power pole and scurried up that and hopped over. Whew....
the first thing I asked Mike was "Where's the picture's????" Mike's response " Picture's? Honey I was counting kids." he wanted to make sure all of them were inside, not out front. The kids have been putting golf balls in the front yard everyday after their school is done. He was really glad they didn't get Watson.
So, hey anything else exciting goin' on? Not compared to that........LOL
School is what we do a lot of now.
Keegan's two new bottom teeth are coming in. It's been along time since the tooth fairy was here.:)
Last Thursday we went shopping and got paint for the play room. Same color. I like it. Took Mike all weekend to paint the room, but it's 720s.f. Fall is here and we wanted the room to fresh and clean for the new season and the holidays that are coming up.Thank you Mikey!
Kendall went to the Orthodontist last week for mouldings for braces/appliances. Next week we go back for the schedule plan of treatment and see if we have to get a 2nd mortgage. :)
Well, that's all for now.................

Dating Again

After 21 years of marriage, we are once again dating.

Through all our years raising children we have never really had the opportunity to go on dates.

They are getting older and we have far less medical concerns, making it somewhat easier to leave for a little while.

Manny Mike has worked out very well. The kids really love it when he comes over.

He has enjoyed this as well. He has changed his college major to child development. He would like to work more with special needs children.

P.S. HEATHER LOOK ANOTHER POST, THIS ONE IS FOR YOU!

Finally, a new post

Again........time flies.
I know. I'm behind on posts.
But hey it's a little busy in a house of 14......

Kody is settled in now. He's a wonderful little guy and everyone is doing great. He and Keegan have so much fun running around pushing their big Tonka trucks. Up and down the hall and around the dining table in circles. I can't believe it's been almost three weeks now.
Today is our 21st wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful day. We got out a little bit this morning thanks to MANNY MIKE. For a surprise for the kids we stopped on the way home and got everyone old fashioned candy sticks, some taffy and smarties at the candy shop in town. We came home and took everyone out to lunch at Taco Bell.

We started school on the 3rd of August, this year goes like this-
Kylene-sophomore
Karlie-8th
Kevin-7th
Kellie-4th
Kendall-3rd
Kurtis-3rd
Kye-2nd
Keegan-1st
Kassadie-1st
Kayna-K
We really do enjoy our homeschooling. It works very well for us. Yes, it does take time planning and organization, but it is soooo worth it. We are so proud of them, they work very hard and do very well.
Mike went golfing a few weeks ago just for fun. He had never been before. Thought it would be fun to try something new.He just can't figure out why it is so hard, to hit a little white ball, with a stick. Anyway, he had been getting up early and heading to the golf course to play a little for exercise before he gets the rest of his day going. He's having fun though.....:)
Well all for now, the big girls are calling everyone to the table for Happy Anniversary Ice Cream Sundaes. I'd better head to the kitchen or it will be all gone before I get there.........
