Cookies & Balloons

Christmas time has always been my most favorite time of the year.
I sooo love Christmas music,(the kids are getting tired of it).
I sooo love Christmas decorations,(the kids just want their presents).
I sooo love baking all holiday season long,(they still like this part).
These are photos of some of the baking. Sugar cookies and Gingerbread men.
Still working on eating these. I thought I would 4x the recipe, you know, I wanted plenty,
100 cookies later, who knew???
Kevin made a balloon kite for Keegan yesterday. It was so cute to see him play with it.
He let go of the first set so they made another. It was so cold though, they weren't outside for long.
The last couple of weeks we have been going to town after dinner every night to see Christmas lights. They really love that. It's going to be hard to explain to the little ones where the lights have gone after Christmas is over. :(
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, everyone is so excited.
We hope everyone is enjoying their holidays too.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Mrs.Claus

Mrs.Claus finally made it out front. It's been so cold here that Mike couldn't finish her. The paint wouldn't dry outside. She is so cute. I think he's done painting for the year, it's just too cold.
He's already planning lots more for next year. I love these. They so remind Mike and I of our childhood. You can enjoy them more when they are handmade. Good job Mike.

Mike's Birthday

Yesterday was Mike's birthday. He had a great time. He was sad when Kayna won
Pin The Tail On The Donkey.
He spent today at the golf course. It was raining most of the time, but he and the guys played anyway.
Happy Birthday Mikey
I love you.

Weather Update!!

Well the snow is still here. It was so beautiful on Monday. The schools and all the businesses were closed. It was 17 degrees. These are some photos I took last night. Yesterday we woke up to 23 degrees. Today the snow is just starting to melt. Oh, the pictures of Kayna and Keegan were from last night. I thought they were too cute. Kayna kept "surprising" everyone hopping out of the box.

Christmas 2009

Mike has been busy creating our new holiday yard decorations. He asked if I would like something in the yard for our family Christmas photo this year and I thought that would be nice. I had no idea he was going to make all the decorations he did. He's not done yet. I'll keep ya posted.....I hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

Fun

I didn't post this photo last time with the others, I forgot to get it off Kate's computer.

Ms. Rossi and I had our last school visit today before Christmas break. She helps with all our
homeschooling.

Kylene's before photo.

Our dear friend Heather cutting it.

Kurtis & Kassadie ~Birthday Time~

Birthday's again. Okay, it really is fun. There are only 4 months out of the year we don't have any birthdays. Saturday was Kurtis and Kassadie's birthday.
Kurtis is now 8 years old and Kassadie is now 6 years old. I can not believe how my babies grow up so fast.
We are still really busy with school. The older ones have been going golfing with dad at the golf course once a week. The weather was bad on Friday and they missed it. It was raining and really windy. Poor Kye was really sad. He doesn't like to play as much as he likes being dad's caddy. Kate likes to drive the golf cart. Kendall and Kevin are doing well. They really look forward to going all week. Kurtis and Kellie haven't tried yet. But I know when they want to go they'll have a great time also.
I got to go to the movies today, I haven't been for awhile. The last time was on Mother's Day a couple of years ago.I went with Kate, Kevin and Kye . Kylene and I went together today.
We are getting ready for Thanksgiving. I have made the menu for Thursday with the kids. Then Friday we will put up the tree and decorate the inside/outside of the house. We have had this tradition since Mike and I were first married. The kids have already asked if Friday we decorate.
Yep, just like always.
Anyways, all is well here and we wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

Kylene's Hope Chest

Mike and I went shopping last weekend and stopped at a local furniture store. We have been looking for a hope chest for Kylene. She has been slowly collecting things over the last year or so and we thought she would like to have something nice to put her things in. We found this one, I know she wanted a darker wood and I thought this one was really pretty. We gave it to her Saturday. She was really surprised.
